ELECTROSURGERY

Ellman Surgitron and Electrosurgery is synonyms. Electrosurgery is the application of a high-frequency alternating polarity, electrical current. This current needs to be applied to biological tissue as a means to cut, coagulate, desiccate, or fulgurate tissue. Its benefits include the ability to make precise cuts with limited blood loss. Electrosurgery is a term used to describe multiple modalities that use electricity to cause thermal destruction of tissue through dehydration, coagulation, or vaporization. The two types of electrosurgery most commonly used are high-frequency electrosurgery and electrocautery.

High-frequency electrosurgery refers to four different methods: electrocoagulation, electrodesiccation, electrofulguration, and electrosection. These methods involve high-frequency alternating current, which is converted to heat by resistance as it passes through the tissue.

Indication of Electrosurgery

Common dermatologic indications for electrofulguration or electrodesiccation for a superficial skin ablation include acrochordons, actinic keratosis, small angiomas, epidermal nevus, seborrheic keratosis, verruca plana, or hemostasis for capillary bleeding. Electrocoagulation or deep skin ablation can be used to treat angiofibromas, basal cell carcinoma, Bowen’s disease, squamous cell carcinoma, ingrown toenail matrixectomy, sebaceous hyperplasia, hemostasis from arterial bleeding, benign adnexal tumors (syringoma, trichoepithelioma), or verruca vulgaris.

ELLMAN ELECTROSURGERY

Since Ellman International was founded in 1959, the company grows to become a global leader in advance radiofrequency (RF) technology for precision surgical and aesthetic procedures. Today, Ellman serves the aesthetic, multi-specialty surgical, dental and veterinary markets. The company’s reputation for providing high quality, reliable products including the legacy Surgitron line of RF surgical generators and the newer Pellevé Wrinkle Reduction System positions Ellman for further expansion in the aesthetic and surgical markets. Our advanced radiofrequency (RF) products are used around the world for precision surgical and aesthetic procedures. Ellman recently enriched its product portfolio by adding laser and IPL systems. Ellman now offers a full complement of aesthetic products that also includes the Pellevé Wrinkle Reduction System and the Surgitron Surgical RF Systems.

Surgitron FFPF EMC

Surgitron FFPF EMC from Ellman is a highly reliable radio frequency source that coagulates and cuts soft tissue. The Ellman Surgical FFPF EMC operates at 3.8 MHz monopolar frequency resulting in less tissue destruction.

The Ellman FFPF EMC represents 3.8 MHz advance radiofrequency technology that provides versatility, surgical control, precision and safety. The Surgitron FFPF EMC is a 90 Watt RF Surgical generator that utilizes 1.7 MHz Bipolar. The FFPF EMC offers four distinct waveforms for optimum results – Fully filtered (Cut), Fully rectified (Cut/Coag), Partially rectified (Coag), Fulguration. Fulguration is used for intentional tissue damage. The Ellman FFPF has a duty-cycle of 10-15 sec.

Ellman radiofrequency device works on patented radiofrequency technology- Cellular radio frequency absorption. The high frequency, 3.8 MHz causes less trauma which results in decreased post-operative pain and minimizes heat dissipation which results in decreased post-surgical edema. With minimized tissue destruction, healing is fast and patients can have a quick recovery.

Ellman Surgitron Dual 90

The Ellman Surgitron Dual 90 represents 4.0 MHz advance radiofrequency technology that provides versatility, surgical control, precision and safety. The Surgitron Dual EMC is a 90 Watt RF Surgical generator that combines both the frequencies- 4.0 MHz Monopolar and 1.7 MHz Bipolar.

The Surgitron Dual 90 offers five distinct waveforms for optimum results – Fully filtered (Cut), Fully rectified (Blend), Partially rectified (Coag), Fulguration and Bipolar. The Ellman Surgitron Dual 90 has a duty-cycle of 60 sec with auto cut-off feature.

Ellman radiofrequency device works on radiofrequency technology- Cellular radio-frequency absorption. The high frequency 4.0 MHz causes less trauma which results in less post-operative pain and minimizes heat dissipation which results in decreased post-surgical edema.

With minimum tissue destruction, healing is fast and patients can have a quick recovery.
